Day 1: Part 1

Hello from the Philadelphia airport!!

I got to the Orlando airport at 8:30am this morning courtesy of my good friend Erik McGrew. Zoe, Krista, Brittany, Rosie, and I took a 10:15am flight to Philadelphia for a 6 hour layover. The flight was pretty short at only 2 hours; I sat next to a business man and in front of a baby and a loud toddler, so I didn't talk at all and just listened to my iPod and did a whole bunch of easy sudoku puzzles. Once we got to Philadelphia, the other girls got Philly cheesesteaks that were apparently delicious while I ate a real good salad. We then made the walk back to a separate terminal to get some soft pretzels that multiple people suggested, though I have yet to try it.

Wow, I'm sorry this post is so boring. Here's a picture.

Meet Rosie! And my bangs that I cut right before bed last night.

A bunch of the others in our group are on their own plane now to meet us here in Philly. We're currently sitting in the terminal, sprawled out in a little section to the side with our laptops plugged in. Our next flight is at 6pm. 8 hours later we'll be in Brussels, Belgium for BELIGAN WAFFLES FOR BREAKFAST. I realized that we can do that as I was typing it. Man, I'm excited. After that we'll be flying straight to Florence to meet Dr. Zaho and a few other students to begin our month long adventures in Italia!! If I don't have time or wifi in Belgium, my next post will be from my apartment in Florence. :)

Ciao!
Kristin
