We were out for 14 hours today. Jeez.
I walked with Katia and her friend Jenna to Piazza della Republica to meet everyone. The gelato festival was there but I decided not to partake in it because I'd rather spend my money at a place I know and like. Anyway, we met to go to the Strozzi Palace to see an exhibition called "Springtime in the Renaissance". It was full of renaissance and classical Roman sculpture and it was amazing. One of my favorite things in it was a small sarcophagus built in 160 AD for a small child. The design on the outside was of winged putti in a chariot race. There are two on the ground being trampled while the rest are focused on the race. I don't know why I loved it, but I did. It was sad that it was for a child but it was beautiful and nearly 2000 years old. Incredible. I saw a lot of other cool stuff but I really need to get into the shower and go to bed. Sorry for the lack of details.
Good night!
Edit: I forgot to add that Geoff and I walked home together down some cool streets we hadn't really been on before and we saw 2 pre-teen girls almost get into a fight, heard scary organ music, and cracked some jokes. So that was cool.
